With several years of experience in medical billing, medical coding, revenue cycle management, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), provider education, and Medicare Advantage risk adjustment, I have partnered with healthcare organizations ranging from small physician practices to large healthcare networks.
My professional experience includes working with revenue cycle management companies, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), and Management Services Organizations (MSO)/Independent Practice Associations (IPA). These roles have provided me with extensive experience in medical coding, HCC coding, chart reviews, documentation improvement, coding quality, provider education, and workflow optimization.
I work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to strengthen clinical documentation, improve coding accuracy, support ICD-10-CM and HCC coding, and promote documentation best practices. I also design customized provider education based on documentation trends and lead both individual and group training sessions for providers and clinical staff.
In addition, I collaborate with leadership and clinical teams to identify documentation and coding opportunities, enhance clinical workflows, support Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) initiatives, and promote compliance, operational efficiency, and accurate risk adjustment.
