My name is Victoria Galvez, and I am the founder of Beacon Risk Adjustment Consulting.
I have several years of experience in medical billing, coding, revenue cycle management, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), provider education, and Medicare Advantage risk adjustment. Throughout my career, I have worked with a revenue cycle medical billing and coding company, several Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), and a Management Services Organization (MSO)/Independent Practice Association (IPA), giving me experience supporting organizations of all sizes, from small medical practices to large healthcare networks.
My background includes medical coding, HCC coding, chart reviews, documentation improvement, coding quality, provider education, and workflow optimization. I have worked one-on-one with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to improve clinical documentation, coding accuracy, ICD-10-CM coding, combination coding, and documentation best practices. I also develop customized education based on each provider’s documentation patterns and have led group training sessions for providers and clinical staff.
In addition to provider education, I have experience identifying documentation and coding opportunities, improving clinical workflows, supporting Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) initiatives, and collaborating with leadership and clinical teams to strengthen documentation quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
